Academic Support

As part of our deliverables, community School staff support student academic needs in select Cedar Grove and Roberts Creek Elementary School classrooms. Over the years, trained staff and volunteers have worked one-on-one with students  as reading mentors and as tutors for subjects across the curriculum. An afterschool homework club has further supported student learning. Currently, food literacy is a key focus for our work and we are partnering with Farm to School BC to optimize hands-on learning from school gardens and to embed food literacy into the school culture.
