What is a Community School?
A community school is both a place and a set of partnerships between the school and other community resources. Its integrated focus on the whole child, social & emotional learning, community development and community engagement leads to improved student learning, stronger families and healthier communities. Roberts Creek Community School (RCCS) provides enhanced learning opportunities through the delivery of district-wide initiatives and through the delivery of site-specific programs and services that support the students of Roberts Creek and Cedar Grove Elementary Schools on the Sunshine Coast of British Columbia.
