District-Wide Initiatives

Roberts Creek Community School collaborates with SD46 and partner community schools to expand the reach and scope of deliverables. External funding sources have allowed larger district initiatives to operate, with a priority placed on supporting vulnerable students.

Schools Out!  RCCS coordinates and administers a $50,000 initiative to support district-wide grade 6/7 SD46 students transition into high school through well-supported sports, social-emotional learning, and arts programming. Funded by the United Way of British Columbia.

After-School Sports and Arts Initiative (ASSAI)– RCCS designs, coordinates, and administers district-wide arts and sports programming for vulnerable children. Funded by the Ministry of Tourism, Arts, Culture and Sport.

Roots of Empathy – RCCS has acted as the home of Roots of Empathy on the Sunshine Coast for over ten years. Over 1500 students and every elementary school in the district have benefitted from this SEL program.
